Fire at the Aurora Air Hanger
Tonight we responded to a reported structure fire at the Aurora Air hanger on the west end of the airport. When we arrived on scene flames were showing fom both the first and second floors.
Hydrants on that end of the airport are rather scarce, so we responded with Engine 795 and established Tanker 792 as a relay pumper for water supply.
The "deck gun" on 795 was used as a water curtain to help contain the fire to the first floor. Unfortunately, we were having difficulty keeping a water supply so the fire did spread.
Assistant Chief Cale Solo and Fire Chief Carla Laville started the interior attack while other units called enroute'
